On behalf of Calvary Baptist Church and Day School, I am very pleased to announce Mr. David Wolff as our new High School Principal.
David Wolff was the unanimous choice of all those involved in the search process. David is a gifted man with years of experience at all age levels of education. Most importantly, he has a passionate love for Christ and for the souls of young people.
David has an eclectic and diverse background as an athlete, coach, and administrator. He earned his B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he played basketball, and a M. Ed in Educational Administration from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. More details will follow in the next few weeks about David plus the announcement of an opportunity for the CBDS family to meet him and his wife Dianne. Our new High School Principal will be on the job April 14th.
At our Raising The Standard meeting in February, a promise was made to fill the High School Principal position before the end of the school year and to do so with the most capable and godly person available. By God’s good providence, Calvary Baptist Day School has kept that promise to you and your children.

Thank you to all who attended the initial Raising the Standard meeting. We are excited about how God is leading Calvary Baptist Day School to the next level. If you are interested in reviewing some of the documents from the meeting or listening to audio from the presentations, CLICK HERE.

Proverbs 29:18 says “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Calvary Baptist Day School began in 1968 under the leadership of Dr. Mark Corts with a simple vision – to see young men and women come to personal faith in Jesus Christ by extending the ministry and mission of Calvary Baptist Church to students and parents in the surrounding community. Over the past 41 years, the school has grown from a basic kindergarten program to a vibrant Pre-K beginning at age three through twelfth grade school with over 700 students! God has been so faithful over these past years.
Vision is not static – it must be refreshed and renewed. Over the past two years, we have begun to seek a fresh vision from God for His school, and in doing so, one theme has emerged – Raising The Standard. We believe that God is calling us to recommit His school and ourselves to excellence in all that we do. We have fantastic students and a committed faculty, yet must move toward excellence in our vision. What will be the outcome?
We envision an extraordinary school with extraordinary students being taught by extraordinary teachers supported by extraordinary parents for the glory of an extraordinary God!
By coming to this website, you’ve taken the first step of joining with us on the journey of Raising The Standard to create an Extraordinary Christian school – this is His vision and our mission. Some can join us by rendering specific acts of service; others will offer constructive feedback and ideas. All of us must pray.
Our efforts to these ends will be led by two people. Terry Hales, Chairman of the Day School Committee, will lead our efforts in Raising the Standard in the areas of Strategic and Operational Excellence. Roger Wiles, Headmaster, will lead our efforts in Raising The Standard in the areas of Academic and Spiritual Excellence.
