TERRY HALES PERSONAL TESTIMONY
At age 9, I confessed my sin and asked Jesus into my life. However, it was as a senior in High School - after beginning to attend Calvary Baptist Church - that I began to truly understand the fullness of the relationship God desired to have with me. It was at that point in my life where the knowledge of the depth of God’s love for me demanded a change. His love for me sparked a desire to seek to live for Him.
Living for Christ, to me, means a daily pursuit to “live a life worthy of the call.” Over the years God has provided clarity in what this necessitates. To live a life worthy of the call means that I seek both to be obedient and faithful to His call for that day. I’ve come to realize that obedience to His call most often demands that I exercise my faith. I’ve also come to realize that absent my commitment to be faithful, my obedience would wane.
It is out of desire to live a life worthy of the call that I serve as a part of the leadership team for CBDS. I know He has called me to be engaged in this ministry; therefore, it comes down to a question of obedience. I pray that that as we serve Him either as a part of this ministry or any other, that we do it in a manner worthy of the call.
